Our Internship program extends further than the walls of Climax Portable Machining & Welding Systems. Each year we team up with other businesses to house our interns. Climax will provide the interns and include them in all of our various classes! Each intern is expected to produce a 3 x Return on Investment for your business. A.R.E. Manufacturing
Since 2009, A.R.E Manufacturing, long committed to workforce development, has been a partner to Climax in training Summer Interns. Interns at A.R.E. have joined Climax interns for all Life Skills Classes, Creativity and Innovation Training, and helped with Community Service projects.
Burgerville USA
Burgerville USA Interns partnered with Climax Interns in 2010 to help raise funds for Newberg F.I.S.H., the local food bank. Collectively, the two groups of Interns promoted and worked the fund raising event where Burgerville donated proceeds from the nomad's food sales for one day. The Nomad is Burgerville's mobile food truck. The Nomad was parked on Climax's campus for the day, and was a great hit in the community!
PPM Technologies, LLC
In 2011, Climax expanded the internship program to PPM Technologies, LLC. The three interns at PPM were still heavily involved in all the life skill classes and community service projects at Climax; however, they received their work experience from PPM. This was a step in the right direction as we envision Climax partnering with many companies to expand the experience of an internship program to as many youth as we can.
SP Fiber Technologies
In 2012, Climax kept with tradition and partnered with SP Newsprint in Newberg to provide more opportunities for youth to be involved in internship programs. There are currently two interns at SP Newsprint working in the Human Resources department. In addition, one intern does side jobs in the Information Technology Department
Alabama Credit Union
One major success is the continual expansion and growth of the internship program was the start of an internship program in Tuscaloosa, Alabama at the Alabama Credit Union in 2012. They have six interns and have modeled their internship program after Climax in giving the interns the opportunity to take life skills classes and participate in multiple community service projects.
